Portugal has been a long-time fan of motorcycling since 1987. 2020 marked the year in which Portugal returned to the MotoGP™ calendar with the Circuito Internacional do Algarve - reserve track since 2017. The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve hosts the MotoGP world championship for the sixth time in its history.
